El monasterio Fo Guang Shan de la Asociación Budista IBPS Argentina, es una organización mundial que cuenta con más de doscientas sedes en todo el mundo, y promueve la difusión del budismo mahayana, mediante la meditación y el enfoque humanístico. Allí se dictan cursos de meditación, budismo, yoga, tai-chi, terapias orientales, etc.

En 1992 el venerable maestro Hsing Yun, visitó Buenos Aires y fundó una filial de la Asociación Internacional Luz de Buda (BLIA), bajo la dirección de la maestra Chueh Cheng. La sede propia se estableció recién en 1996 gracias a la donación del edificio de la avenida Cramer por parte de su propietario, el Sr. Chang Sheng Kair. Tras la necesaria remodelación guiada por el maestro Juei Ting, fue inaugurado el 1 de enero de 1997.
